Reaching the world for Christ by mass media

Mohammad from the Persian-speaking world

Thirty-three-year-old Mohammad lives with his mother and sister in a Persian-speaking country. Four years ago, he accidentally came across TWR’s Farsi Christian radio programs, but didn’t pay much attention to them. At the time, Mohammad was finding his solace in drinking alcohol, and it slowly gripped his life. Since this was illegal in his country, Mohammad came home after work to drink, listening more and more to the radio. Two years ago, he again came across TWR’s broadcasts and began to listen regularly.

About six-and-a-half months ago, Mohammad committed his life to Jesus Christ, asking Him to help him quit drinking. He did, and Mohammad told his family and friends what Jesus had done for him, not realizing he could get into trouble. When questioned, he shared his testimony and was subsequently jailed. Six months later, Mohammad was released on bail. He contacted TWR and begged for a Bible and Christian literature. He wants to know Jesus more. Seeing his changed life, Mohammad’s family also wants to learn more about Christianity. –Mohammad from the Persian-speaking world
